

James Erwin Walker, Age 79, of Alvin, passed away on September 2, 2015 in his home in Alvin, Texas. James was born May 1st 1936 in Alexandria, Louisiana to parents Vernon Walker and Dorothy Walker. He was a member of The United States Marine Corps and obtained the rank of Corporal as a rifleman. He married Carolyn Spell on January 15, 1972 in Houston, Texas. They moved from Bellaire to Alvin in 2000. James was part of the Bellaire Fire Department for 39 years and became Captain. He loved to make people laugh, roofing, reading and watching science fiction.
James is preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Dorothy Walker, and brother, Paul Walker. James is survived by his wife, Carolyn Walker, of Alvin; sister, Deanna Owens, of Houston, Texas; Brother, Bill Walker, and many more family and friends. He was a generous and great husband to Carolyn Walker.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Forest Park Westheimer Chapel. Interment will follow at the Cemetery at Forest Park Westheimer. Serving as pallbearers are: Matthew Spell, Cody Owens, Shawn Walker, Mike Walker, John Walker, Kenny Walker, Chris Walker, and Taylor Wagner, and honorary pallbearer, Mark Walker.
