

Janice Lou Ryman went home to her heavenly Father on November 28th at the age of 72. Janice was born to Cleatis & Voilet Ryman in Houston Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents Cleatis & Voilet Ryman, and brother Mark Ryman. Ms. Ryman is survived by her sons Luis DelValle and Christopher DelValle, daughter-in-law Alexis DelValle, and granddaughters Payton DelValle and Paxton DelValle.
Janice started her college education at Baylor University, and continued a life-long pursuit of education earning 3 Master’s Degrees. She taught school for the U.S. Armed Services in Japan and Germany before returning back to Houston. She taught school in Texas for over 25 years and retired from Aldine ISD in Houston after serving as librarian for 20 years. Ms. Ryman was previously a member of Baptist Temple Church and a current member Oak Forest Baptist Church. Janice loved God and loved people which was evident by her continual service of others. She volunteered at church, Manna Food Pantry, and the Houston chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI).
A visitation for Janice will be held Friday, December 3, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Pat H. Foley & Company, 1200 West 34th Street, Houston, TX 77018. Directly following visitation, a funeral service officiated by Dr. Richard Walters will be held at Pat H Foley & Company. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery Friday, December 3, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Woodlawn Cemetery, 1101 Antoine Drive, Houston, TX 77055.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI).
