Jean Wilson Ruffing

JEAN WILSON RUFFING passed away June 8, 2012 with her loving family by her side. She is survived by her son Dr. Jack Ruffing, Jr. and wife Linda; grandsons Jack Ruffing III and Ryan Ruffing; granddaughter Sara Ruffing; and numerous other devoted family members and caring friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Jack; daughter Rujean Marie Ruffing; parents Roy and Dessie Mae Wilson of Fort Worth; and sister Marie Rader and husband Larry of Fort Worth. Jean was retired after many years of employment as an office manager with Royal Rentals and then Slack Construction. Jean was a loving and devoted wife to her husband Jack for 60 years and an adoring mother and grandmother. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her children and grandchildren, attending their activities, and watching them grow up. She also maintained deep, close friendships which lasted for many years. She was a wonderful woman with style and grace who loved to go out with family and friends and entertain in her home. She will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held at 12:00 noon with graveside services to follow at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, June 16, 2012 at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home and Cemetery, 13001 Katy Frwy., Houston, TX 77079 with the Reverend Robert P. Goolsby officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Jean W. Ruffing to M. D. Anderson Cancer Center, 1515 Holcombe Blvd., Houston, TX 77030.
