Jeff was preceded in death by his parents Glenn and Sheila Bogs and grandparents, Raymond and Margie Isaacks, and Fred and Vernice Bogs. His uncles Kenneth Bogs and Jerry Isaacks and his cousin Darryl Isaacks.
Jeff is survived by his wife Lisa Bogs, and daughters Kayla, Lauren, her husband David and Brooke; his sister Amy Bell, her husband Chris, niece Sloan, nephew Logan, and great niece Sailor; his cousins, Jennifer Bogs and Brady Hudson, his wife Misty and his son Garrett; his aunts Pet Bogs, Patsy Cathey and Sherry Isaacks. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Keith Haws and wife Sissy, nephew Curtis and wife Amber, and great nephew Keith Allen as well as many other family members and friends whose lives have been greatly impacted.
Living in Humble all his life, he carried on the Bogs legacy, often being found at his grandfather‘s Texaco service station in the middle of town. He attended Humble High School, where he showed off his skills on the football field. Jeff and Lisa later met through his sister Amy and married soon after high school. Prior to growing their family, they cherished their time together traveling, hunting, fishing and just enjoying each other’s company. They recently celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary.
Jeff was a proud father to his 3 girls. Growing up he always supported their interests and hobbies, as well as offered guidance and advice into adulthood. Following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather, Jeff was a pillar at Humble church of Christ, first serving as a deacon and later as an elder. He was dedicated to serving the church and God’s people with compassion and love.
His work life always focused on helping others, whether it was landscaping, serving families at the funeral home or excelling in commercial safety management. Around the house, Jeff stayed busy working on his latest project or helping out a friend with theirs. But Jeff was happiest when he was on the boat fishing, hunting with friends and family, and outside gardening with Lisa.
He will be so dearly missed by the lives he has touched.
A visitation for Jeffrey will be held Saturday, May 31, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039, with a funeral service to follow at 10:30 AM.
