She was preceded in death by her parents, Harmon F. and Maudie Jackson Ullrich, her sister, Joy Ullrich, and her husband of 52 years, Dr. Milford C. Frnka.
Left behind are children: Dr. Janis J. Frnka, Dr. Mark C. and wife Jacquie Pace Frnka; grandchildren: Sgt. Robert A. III and wife Julie Power Atkins; Jenifer Jewel and husband Jeffrey E. Lewetzki; Kellie Renee Frnka and husband Dr. Daniel E. Wright, and Michael C. and Elizabeth Upton Frnka;
great-grandchildren: Kaylee E., Robert A. IV and Declan A. Atkins; Jadon C. Sanchez and Bransen E. Lewetzki, Campbell E, Wynne Eleanor and Hallie Elizabeth Wright and Avery Rose Frnka.
Throughout her life, Jewel was an avid traveler, having ventured across North America, Europe, the islands of the Caribbean, Alaska and Hawaii, whether by car, train, ship, plane or motorhome, often generously sharing a cruise with family members after Milford was no longer alive to travel with her.
Those honored to serve as pall bears are Robert A. Atkins, III, Jeffrey E. Lewetzki, Michael C. Frnka, Dr. Daniel E. Wright, Mr. Case Skelly, and Mr. R. Keith Nanney.
Pending Sgt Atkins' arrival from South Korea, where he is serving our country on deployment in the United States Army. A memorial service is to be conducted at one o’clock in the afternoon on Friday, the 18th of May, in the Jasek Chapel of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston.
Immediately following, all are invited to greet the family during a reception in the adjacent grand foyer.
The family will gather for a private interment at the Frnka Family Cemetery in New Ulm, Texas.
