Jimmie Maxine Bryan resident of Cleveland, Tx at the age of 77, earned her Angel Wings and entered the gates of Heaven on October 23, 2013. There to welcome her home along with her parents was her great-granddaughter Makayla Ahart.
Maxine was born on September 17, 1936 in Kosse, Tx, to the late Herman Jackson and Cassie Thompson Jackson. They later moved to Houston and then she lived for many years in Jacinto City, Tx. It was here that she raised her children who were the center of her world. She worked as an inspector for Anchor Hocking Glass Company, retiring after 25 years. After her retirement she cherished the time she spent with family and provided comfort and care to many. She enjoyed playing bingo and was always ready for a fishing trip.
Jimmie will be greatly missed by her daughters, Denice Foreman, Donna Bridges and husband Ernie, Margaret Schuster and husband Kevin; son, Doug Young and wife Cheryl; brothers, Doug Jackson and wife Dolores, Gene Jackson and wife Betty; six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one great great-granddaughter, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family will be celebrating her life, as they send her to go fishing with our Lord on Monday, October 28, 2013. Everyone is invited to join in the celebration at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway. You are welcome to come by from 11 am to 2 pm to say a personal good-bye and share memories with the family. The service will begin at 2 pm.
