

Ms. Jimmie Marie Jacobs Curry was born on Saturday, August 29, 1948 and peacefully passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2024. She was born to the proud parents of the late Rev. Ennis and Eula Jacobs in Shreveport, Louisiana.
She started school at All Saints from grades 1-9 in Pelican, Louisiana, her family moved to Houston, Texas where she graduated from Kashmere High school class of 1966.
Jimmie accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Summer Hill Baptist Church in Evelyn,
Louisiana. After her family to Houston Jimmie joined Morningstar Missionary Baptist church under the
leadership of Pastor E. O. Bell, later on Jimmie joined Sweet Home Missionary Baptist church under the
leadership of Pastor Edward Collins and presently Pastor Gregory Collins.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, friend and a devoted Christian. She mediated on the goodness of God everyday. Jimmie was a nurse of 42 years where she enjoyed helping people. She loved doing a good crossword puzzle especially with her sister Joann, watching her soaps, reading and she was a Treky (Star Trek) fan.
Jimmie joined Michael Curry in marriage on November 22, 1970 were they raised two daughters Carmen and Pamela.
She is preceded in death by her parents Rev. Ennis Jacobs Jr., Eula Mae Turner Jacobs and sisters Geneva Grant and Margie Banks.
She leaves to cherish her memories her children: Carmen Darnell Curry, Pamela Joann Curry Wolfe (Robert II); her four grandchildren Christian Joseph Batiste, Jordan Christopher Batiste, Meghan Brianna Batiste and Robert Karl Wolfe III: two sisters Dorothy Jacobs Griffin and Joann Jacobs Loud: two brothers Henry Jacobs Sr. and Rev. George Jacobs Sr. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins family and friends.
A visitation for Jimmie will be held Friday, December 27, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Paradise Funeral Home, Inc, 10401 West Montgomery, Houston, TX 77088. The funeral service will immediately follow from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The committal will be held Friday, December 27, 2024 from 12:30 PM to 12:45 PM at Paradise Funeral Home & Cemetery North, 10401 W Montgomery Rd, Houston, TX 77088.
