Jimmy Burl Hutchinson

Jimmy Burl Hutchinson was born August 27, 1942, to the parents of James S. Hutchinson, Sr. and Elizabeth Hutchinson, in Waxahachie, Texas, where Jimmy and his six siblings were raised. Jimmy graduated from Turner High in 1961. He accepted Christ at an early age while in Waxahachie, and was a member of Greater MT. Zion Baptist Church. Under the leadership of Rev. T.R. Robersion.He married Ruth Lankford December 16, 1968. In their union Jimmy Earl, Sam, Sidney, and Reginald were born. Prior to marriage Ruth had a daughter Amy. Jimmy had Terrie and Carmen. The family moved to Houston in 1971, where he worked at Hormel and Randall for several years. He joined New Day Deliverance Holiness Church under direction of Bishop R.L. Taylor.Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, James, Sr. and Elizabeth Hutchinson; and his siblings, Earl Dean, Claudette, Leroy, Shirley, James, Jr., and Toliver.He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Ruth of 55 years; sons, Jimmy (Rhonda) of Virgina, Sam, Sidney, and Reginald of Houston; daughters, Terrie of Palestine, Amy of Greenville and Carmen (Kerry) of Dallas; six sisters-in-law, Aline Daniels, Gladys Lankford, Katherine Hutchinson, Annie Dickerson and Ruthie Johnson; 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.
