Jimmy Alva Rucker Jr.

He met Darlene Rucker in Houston, Texas and married in April 2008. Jimmy had a career in roofing at Perkins Roofing for many years. He enjoyed fishing, riding 4 wheelers, racing, hunting, being outdoors with family and friends playing horseshoes, washers, and woodwork. He loved his family and will truly be missed.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Darlene Rucker; father Jimmy A. Rucker Sr.

Jimmy is survived by his son, Brandon Terrell (Connie Terrell); two grandsons, Zeppelin Terrell and Evan Harrison; loving mother, Joyce Rucker; sister, Jean Smith (Patrick Smith); nephews, Brian Berendsen (Wendy Berendsen), and Josh Berendsen (Kasey Berendsen); 2 great nieces, Briana Berendsen and Britney Berendsen; 2 great nephews, Colby Berendsen and Caiden Berendsen; along with many other family members and friends.

Serving as pallbearers are Brandon Terrell, Brian Berendsen, Patrick Smith, Billy Mills, Josh Berendsen, Colt Mize, Zeppelin Terrell, and Evan Harrison.

A visitation for Jimmy will be held Sunday, March 2, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. A funeral service will occur Monday, March 3, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. A committal service will occur Monday, March 3, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039.
