

Born October 26, 1954, in Houston, TX. JoAnn was the cherished daughter of Joe Novack and Anna Novack McMahon , the loving sister to Terry Martin, Daniel Novack, and Edward Novack. She was preceded in death by her devoted parents, grandparents, and other extended family. The love and lessons learned from them instilled in her genuine values of love, a strong work ethic and being there for family.
JoAnn's life was a testament to how hard work, patience and love created a balanced home and family. She met her husband Orville through work and today Orrville will say goodbye to his everything after 37 beautiful years together. They created a wonderful life full of love and outdoor adventures through their passion for hunting and fishing together.
JoAnn was a proud mother to a beautiful daughter, Shannon, her son Dale, as well as stepmother to Orville's son Jr. Sauer. Her heart continued to be filled with joy as she embraced her role as grandma, to Cody Ashley, Lacy Ashley, and Justin Sauer, and later as a great-grandmother to Kye Ashley, Orville's granddaughter Bailey Shepard, Zoey, and Zayne Sauer. She loved them all, and enjoyed her visits with them greatly.
For over 30 years, JoAnn’s dedication to work as a warehouse receiver for Eckerd Drugs/CVS earned her many recognitions. She not only excelled in her work but also formed lifelong friendships. Her colleagues fondly remember her infectious laughter and radiant smile that could light up any room, making even the busiest shifts enjoyable. JoAnn retired from CVS a few years ago to embrace a new chapter of life, her retirement that she rightfully deserved after many years of hard labor. In her retirement, JoAnn found joy in visiting her sister & brother- in- law. The three of them embarked on many vacations that included memorable cruises and trips to see other family members
JoAnn was known for her style, she would never be seen without hair and makeup done, including jewelry to match the outfit of the day. This was just another reflection of that vibrant personality.
JoAnn had a huge love of teddy bears, anyone that knew her, knew that and knew that if they ever wanted to give her a gift that was the go to. She collected so many over the years one of the rooms in her home display her beloved collection. Each bear holding a special memory from the person who gifted it to her.
JoAnn also shared her love with fur-babies as we call them, which was evident in the many Shih Tzu pups she raised, from Sugar, Hollie Ann, and lastly Bella the newest one she got from her loving sister to heal hear heart after the passing of Hollie Ann. JoAnn was blessed to be able to spend her last few months with Bella who comforted her during the difficult times. All of them filled her heart, giving her lots of love and quiet moments over the years.
JoAnn's spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and memories that will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to be part of her life.
