She was a woman of great warmth, wisdom, and joy, passed away peacefully, surrounded by love. She leaves behind a legacy woven with deep family ties, lifelong friendships, and a spirit that embraced the beauty in every moment.
Joanna lived a rich and vibrant life. She had a natural gift for bringing people together, often through tales from her long well lived life, or by sharing the treasures she had collected over the years, each one carrying a memory or a meaning known best by her. To those who knew her, Joanna was more than family or friend — she was a storyteller, a dancer, a keeper of memories, and a soul whose light will continue to shine in all who loved her.
She was the heart of her family — a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose love never wavered. Joanna is survived by her daughter, Anna Chaykoski; her grandchildren Christina Lara, Ronnie Horton, Steven Horton, Denise Pierce, and Frederick Chaykoski; and ten great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immeasurable joy. She was predeceased by her beloved daughter, Marie Horton, whose memory Joanna carried close to her heart every day.
