Joanne Gemoets Holland

Joanne Rinda (Gemoets) Holland, 88, passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 with her two daughters at her bedside. Joanne was born on July 11, 1933 in Houston, TX and is survived by her two daughters, Cynthia Holland and Nancy McConville. Preceding Joanne in death were her parents Dr. Henry Napoleon and Lillian (Kudrna) Gemoets, her two brothers Dr. Thomas H. Gemoets and John Gemoets as well as her sister, Nancy (Gemoets) Fox.

Joanne was the second of four children and a native of Houston. She attended Lamar High School then went on to the University of Houston. Joanne later earned her real estate broker’s license, an area where she found her true calling. She had an encyclopedic knowledge of Houston and cared deeply for each and every one of her clients. Joanne’s passion for her clients and Houston assured she was always a top producer within her firm. She was an avid gardener who found joy in every flower that bloomed in her butterfly garden. Another one of Joanne’s favorite pastimes was scouring antique shops for those ‘once in a lifetime’ finds. She had a knack for decorating and could make any house feel like home.

Family and friends will gather at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home, 12800 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX 77077 for a visitation on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Forest Park Westheimer with the committal service on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Memorial Oaks Cemetery, 13001 Katy Fwy, Houston, TX 77079.
