Our family was privileged in knowing Mr. Joe through his next door neighbor and brother, Raymond Hernandez. I often saw him at church or getting his exercise by walking around the neighborhood in earlier years. He was always so pleasant and cordial. Our family often ran into his at Mother's Day Brunches at the Sheraton Inn. We both enjoyed those times very much. I know he is at peace now as he has joined the love of his life, his beloved wife Gloria. Rest in eternal peace Mr. Joe, your work on earth is complete.

Joe lived a few houses down from me. Was always great to be with. I showed him my pictures of my trip to Botswana and South Africa. He said he wished he could go there.

Our thoughts are with the Hernandez family. We have fond memories of Joe from the annual Christmas parties at Randy & Julia’s, and also from visiting with him at the YMCA after his workout on the treadmill. A great and kind man.
