Tio will be GREATLY MISSED to all of us.He was the Rock of this Family.When ever there was a crisis or if anyone needed advice he was always there,and he knew just what to say.So when ever you are feeling down,or just having a bad day,just stop and think of Tio,and you will make the right choice.To the Saavedra Family in Houston we will miss your dad ,our Prayers and Thoughts are with you. Popo, you are truly missed!  You will live in my heart forever.  I'm blessed to have many great memories of you and will cherish those memories forever.  John-Y and I have many great stories of you to share with our future children.  I will love and remember you always.

I remember Tio taking me to work with him when we came from IL to visit when I was like maybe 10. It was just him and myself for the day. I have never forgotten that, up super early and running around all day......it was the best part of my visit.  From my family to yours we wish you all peace in your heart.  MP

Mr. Saavedra AKA PoPo was a really sweet man. The 1st time i met him he accepted me and Jas as one of his own grandchildren. He will be missed and always in my heart just as my own grandparents are. May he rest in the best peace with our LORD. May GOD continue to bless the Saavedra family and give them constant coverage.

POPO you will be missed, but i know your not suffering anymore and your with momo enjoying your life with her.

It has been a little over a month and I still can't believe my Popo is gone. However, knowing that he is no longer suffering from pain and has reunited with the Love of his life (My Momo)uplifts my heart!  I will miss our long talks, hearing your great stories of how he met my Momo.  I could hear his stories over and over. My grandparents were always so loving.  My Popo said Momo was ALWAYS right.  He never argued with her cause he knew it wouldn't go anywhere. (ha haha)  I loved that about him, that should be a lesson to all men! :) Christmas eve will not be the same without him, all the family gatherings will be so different. I will always cherish the times we spent together and memories. You will always be in our hearts Popo...

It's been over a months sinc emy Popo has gone home with the Lord. It still is so hard to believe that I will no longer get to go to his house and visit with him.  I cherish all the memories we had sitting in the porch/kitchen/living room just chit chatting.  The great memories he would tell me about how he met my Momo.  I could hear his stories over and over again. the great love they shared was so sweet.  My Popo said Momo was always right! He never disagreed with her cause he never wanted to argue, he needed to teach all the men how to do that (ha ha ha).  Anyhow, my Popo will forever be in our hearts. We love you Popo and know that you are now enjoying heaven with Momo, Grandma, Grandpa and so many other family members. What will our Christmas Eve look like now :(  Love you Always...

Dad....we will miss you greatly, but you are forever in our hearts. You were truly a special person. I will miss our conversations. You had so many interesting stories to share. You are now at peace and for that I am happy.  Larry & Jessica learned so much from you and are truly blessed to have had you in their lives. I cannot put into words the loss this is for your son...you were his friend, his mentor, his hunting & fishing partner and more importantly his "Dad". Love you.

Although I will miss you always, I take comfort in knowing that we will be reunited again someday and that you are at peace with some of those you loved most during your short time here on Earth. I love you and thank you for everything, Popo.

A father/grandfather may pass but his thoughts, hopes and dreams live on through you, I thank you Mr. Saavedra for being a role model to my niece and nephew and instilling in them good morals, determination and perseverance.
