John grew up in Houston with his younger brother, Samuel and attended Bear Creek Elementary. He graduated from Mayde Creek High School in 2001. John also attended Texas State Technical College and studied Robotic Engineering. After which John was employed at Lovejoy Mechanical as an air conditioning technician.
John was a wonderful individual who enjoyed the outdoors participating in soccer, baseball, track, cycling, fishing and gardening. In his youth, he excelled at many activities receiving numerous athletic and academic awards. In 1994 John received the President’s award in recognition of Educational Excellence by meeting outstanding academic standards.
John was a very creative person inspired by nature, Eastern Philosophy and Christian values which guided him spiritually to mediate and get closer to his higher power God. His creative side was an outlet that allowed him to express himself through painting, drawing, sculpting and landscaping.
John was a very compassionate and giving person. He often shared with those who were less fortunate whether it be animals or people. John also had a great sense of humor and loved to play jokes on his family.
We will miss John dearly and all that he gave us as a family.
John is survived by his mother Laura Jo, his father John and his younger brother Samuel as well as other loving family members.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Samaritan’s Purse or Wheelhouse Recovery or the charity of your choice.
A celebration of life for John will be held Saturday, October 8, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Fwy, Houston, Texas, followed by a visitation & gathering from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
