In his younger years, he enjoyed riding his dirt bike and even entered Motocross events. He was a sports enthusiast and enjoyed watching football and basketball on television.
John was a hard worker who endured a challenging life. He was known for his strong will and stubborn nature. He preferred to keep to himself and never sought help, even when he needed it the most. He would often brush off offers of assistance with phrases like "no, I'm alright" or "It's all good." He had a deep love for his siblings and led a simple life, accepting things as they were.
John is survived by his father, John R. Stewart, his sister, Susan Bowman, and his brother, Peter Stewart.
John was preceded in death by his mother, Josephine Drieberg, his brother, Timothy Stewart, and his sisters, Heather Stewart and Anna Charles.
A celebration of life for John will be held Saturday, September 21, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home - Champion, 3410 Cypress Creek Parkway, Houston, TX 77068.
