

On January 4, 1939 in Wharton County, Bay City a son was born to Johnnie On January 4, 1939 in Wharton County, Bay City a son was born to Johnnie Robinson, Sr. and Ethel Lee (Payne) Robinson who both preceded him in death; also grandparents John Robinson and Susie (Foley) Robinson and step mother Daisy (Sutton) Robinson. Johnnie was the second of three children born to the union. He had two sisters, Zelma Stewart and Stella Parks. He also has a step sister, Inez Williams. All sisters reside in Houston, Texas. He graduated from George Washington Carver High School in Houston, Texas. Johnnie Robinson, Jr. united on March 27, 1959 with Willie Mae (Hodge) Robinson who preceded him in death. He was employed by the City of Houston until he retired. He united with Greater Pleasant Grove Baptist Church of Houston, Texas and later joined Christ Community Fellowship Church until his death. He was preceded in death by his son Johnnie Robinson, III; daughter Barbara Ann Robinson and grandsons Corrian Robinson, Marcus Ray LeBlanc, and Reginald Sheppard, Jr. Johnnie leaves to cherish his memories his ex-wife Gloria Robinson, his sisters; children: Roddrich Gary Robinson, Ethel (Robinson) Sheppard (Reginald Sheppard, Sr.), Francine (Robinson) Grant (Robert Grant), Robert T. Robinson (Alice Coleman), Jaqueline Anderson, Earl Robinson, Charles Robinson, Christopher Robinson, and TatyAnna (Williams) Jones; step children Zanta Thomas, Jerry Wayne Thomas, Calinthia Thomas, William Thomas and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews, relatives and special friends. .
