In behalf myself, and my children, I would like express our condolences to Ola, and all the  family members. As one who knew him  well, this man was a Christian, a devoted father and a hard worker who would give his shirt of his back. With that in mind, I will never forgot him as a  human being, who with his wife gave me a hand when I was with cancer. Today I am heal, because of him, today I can walk because of him, a friend, who I can say, a true friend to the end. You will always be remember in our hearts, our thoughts, and our prayers. One of my favorite memories of Uncle Johnnie is when I was about 4 or 5 years old and Wayne about 3 or 4. He took us to the fair, carrying me in his arms and his cousin carrying Wayne.  They were in their army uniforms as they were home on leave from the Korean war. I think they were trying to impress the girls at the fair (smile)!
 Anyway Johnnie won a ceramic Collie dog for me.  I kept that gift all the years after college although it had worn over over the years. My family  and will miss this beloved uncle, brother and Godfather to various members of our Schoppe family.

My favorite memory of my Uncle Johnnie is when I was about 4 or 5 yrs old, he took me in his arms to the fair in Brenham along with Wayne being held by Johnnies cousin.  I believe they were in their army clothes (he served in the Korean war). He played a game and won a ceramic Collie dog.  I kept that Collie through way after college although it had chipped overs the years.  I cherished his gift to me and the love he always showed toe and my family.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

Ola, my deepest sympathy to you and your family. Your beloved Johnnie is at peace with our Lord. God will comfort you with all those precious memories you & he shared for so many years. He has not really left for he lives inside your heart and mind and Johnnie knows you are a very strong individual with many years to look forward with his family and yours.
