Jose Lazaro “Larry” Hernandez, 63, passed away on July 17, 2024 in Houston, Texas after a fierce battle with cancer. Born on July 4,1961, in Los Angeles, California, to Joaquin and Josefa Hernandez.
A beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, Larry was known for his sense of humor, kindness, and generosity. His love of Music, History, and Architecture led him to a life full of travel and many careers.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Josefa Hernandez; his father, Joaquin R. Hernandez; his brother, Joaquin Hernandez, Jr., his Nephews, Michael Rodriguez and Michael Concha. He is survived by his devoted wife of 31 years, Paula Barnes; his children, Mary Jo Hernandez, Amelia Hernandez and Bennie; Sisters, Eloisa Gracia, Isabell Diaz, Josephina Catania, and Dorie Concha.
Larry will forever be remembered for his strength, his wisdom, and his unwavering devotion to his family and friends. May he rest in peace.
