The Funeral Mass will take place at Notre Dame Catholic Church, 7720 Boone Rd, Houston, TX 77072, on November 5, 2025, at 9:00 am, followed by the Committal Service at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery, 12800 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX 77077, at 10:30 am.
Jose will be laid to rest at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery. His legacy of generosity, wisdom, and love will continue to inspire those who knew him.
Jose G. Nolasco, Jr., a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on October 21. 2025. in Sugar Land.
Texas. Born in 1939 in Baguio City, Philippines, he earned a mechanical engineering degree from the University of the Philippines and joined Boeing in 1968, contributing to the first Boeing 747. He married Leticia in the early 1970s, and together they built a life in New Jersey before settling in Houston, Texas, where they raised three children.
Jose's career in the petroleum and energy industry spanned four decades, where his expertise helped shape Texas's modern shale extraction. Beyond engineering, he cherished the arts, faith, and family. A devout Catholic, avid chess player, and ballroom dancer, he shared with his children a love of music, film, and learning.
He is survived by his wife Leticia, sons Norman and Jason, daughter Jennifer, and two grandchildren. A mass will be held at Notre Dame Catholic Church on November 5, 2025, where he was a parishioner for over 40 years.
