Jose Carlos Zapata

Jose Carlos Zapata, of Houston, passed away at HCA Hospital Clear Lake on September 13th, 2022, at the age of 42. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Guadalupe Martinez and his son Isaac Nicholas Zapata. He is survived by his mother and father Isidra and Guadalupe Lozano, his daughter Keara Jean Zapata, his son Carlos Matthew Zapata, his loving girlfriend Teresa, and his brothers Pablo (Alicia) Quintero, Jr., Jose Guadalupe Quintero, Jose Angel Lozano, and Guadalupe (Victoria) Lozano, Jr. He also leaves behind his maternal grandmother, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins in the Houston and San Benito areas. Carlos enjoyed family cookouts and making his brothers laugh. He loved joking around and was still just a big kid at heart. His sincere loving and caring personality will forever be remembered by his family and friends. He will be deeply missed. To the many surgeons, doctors, nurses, and staff at HCA Hospital-Clear Lake, our family wishes to express our deep appreciation and sincere gratitude to you for working tirelessly day in and day out to care for our beloved Carlos. The family will receive family and friends in a private memorial to honor Carlos’ life.
