It was a privilege to know Weldon Davidson.  My husband, Mike, grew up at Second Christian Church, where Mr. Davidson was an elder.  Both Mike and his dad, Bill, were ordained as ministers of Jesus Christ under the eldership of Mr. Davidson and his fellow elders and Bro. Bill Deatherage.  What a heritage!  Our prayers and thoughts are with his wife and children and extended family.  So thankful to have reconnected more recently with Leslie and Donna and to be able to reminisce and remember Donna's dad.  May God continue to comfort you and hold you close.


He will always be Daddy to me. He was our rock. He was the strongest man I know. Through failing eyesight and other health concerns, he fought to remain independent and to maintain a positive attitude and sense of humor. He was a great cheerleader for Mother. I am so glad that my children and grandchildren ( Melayna and Marshall, AKA "Dude") will remember him. He leaves a great legacy of grandchildren and great grandchildren. His marriage, faith and patriotism were strong.
We have so many memories of travel with Mother and Daddy, especially Disneyworld, Rapid City, and a couple of cruises. But in recent years, Leslie and I enjoyed chauffeuring them around Houston to see places important in their lives: schools, workplaces, residences, and, of course, Galveston where he liked to enjoy great seafood meals. Both Daddy and Mother shared priceless memories. Thank you, Daddy. We will miss you so much. These tears are for the hole in our hearts, but we will dry our tears because we know that you are in Heaven and can now SEE into eternity.

My Hugs and prayers are with Mrs. Davidson and her children and their families. Donna, Linda and Paul.  I knew this great man while growing up in North Houston. I live around the corner and played with his girl and attended school with both Donna and Linda. Both Mrs. Davidson and Mr. Davidson  were always kind and thoughtful to all who met and knew them. I am proud to have grown up around them both

PaPa (aka. Gpa) meant the world to our family. We will miss him dearly! We praise the Lord for his Godly example. Over 90 years of old, 69 of those spent with the love of his life and walking with Jesus for over 70! He was an inspiration to all of us and I am blessed to be left with his legacy.

This was a sweet sweet Great Grandpa to Garrett Davidson & a wonderful loving Grandpa to Chris & Stephanie Davidson & for that we are so thankful that this man touched so many lives. We had the Honor of meeting him at Chris & Stephanie's reception. Then again when Garrett was about 8 Mons old, & Garrett spoke often through the years of his beloved Great Pawpaw. Rest In Peace Mr Davidson.

To my sweet Father in Law that always treated me like a daughter I will truly miss you. He went home to kiss the face of Jesus our Lord and Savior. I can see him walking on  the street of gold and worshiping our God. i can only imagine when he took his last breath here and his first breath in the presence of our Lord Jesus , then Jesus said  hold my hand  let's go home. Jesus carried him home in the clouds of Glory. All his family in heaven was REJOICING waiting  for Jesus and PAPA to enter. When the Lord calls us home he leaves a gift of memories in exchange. I am honored to say this man was Uncle Weldon to me. My deepest sympathies go out to Aunt Jackie, his sweet children, & all family & friends. He truly loved his Lord, his wife& family, & friends in that order. May The Lord be with all of you in your time of sorrow, & my thoughts & prayers are with you now & in the days to come.
