Joseph Dale Thompson

He was the son of the late Harvey "Dale" Thompson and Evelyn Thompson, who passed away eleven months ago. Survivors include his loving wife Betty, daughter Lauren Oakes (husband Kevin), son Jaron Thompson, step daughter Hannah Bennett (fiancé Travis), stepson Jackson Bennett, sister Gayle Schaefer and brother Randy Thompson (wife Gigi). His life was also blessed with wonderful nieces and nephews including Angela (husband Mathew), Bryan, Jessi, Ali, Mitch, grand nephew & niece Collin and Lexie. He had many loving in-laws, extended family members and countless close friends.

Jody was a Houston native, born November 29, 1962 and graduated from Spring Woods High School. His career started in the Oil & Gas industry and he was currently employed as an Asset Manager for Saipem America.

Jody lived life to the fullest and enjoyed golf, hunting, Aggie football games and spending time in Austin at the "Church's Ranch". He never said "No" to a beach vacation or a chance to spend time with family or good friends. Always smiling, he will best be remembered for his infectious laugh that brought giggles to those around him and lifted everyone's spirits.

A casual Celebration of Jody's Life will be held Sunday, October 30, 2016 from 1 to 4 at Hearthstone Country Club. In lieu of flowers, please consider contributions in Jody's name to the American Heart Association at www.heart.org.
