Josette Maria Hubert was born February 23, 1957 in Houston, Texas to the late Curtis B. Hubert Sr. and the late Bessie Bradley Hubert West. She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Pleasantville United Methodist Church. She was a faithful member of Windsor Village UMC until her death. After graduating with honors from Forest Brook High School she pursued a nursing career. Josette married her high school sweetheart, Johnnie Fance Sr. To this union on child, Johnnie Fance Jr., was born.
She worked for the late Hanq Neal as his secretary and later worked as a legal assistant. Josette used her creativity to make wreaths, floral garlands, design t-shirts and t-shirt dresses and has an entrepreneurial spirit. She was an active member of the Gospel Company and WOW (Women of Windsor) Choirs. Josette was also an active member of the United Methodist Women and served as president at one time.
Josette was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Curtis B. Hubert Jr. She leaves to cherish her life: son Johnnie Fance (Brie), step-mother Dewey Mae Hubert; sister Audrey Stansell (Elijah), brother Clifton Hubert Sr. (Jackie), adopted brother Earl Randon (Marleah); granddaughter, D’Andria; grandsons Jade’, Jevon and Arlin; great-grand daughter Brookly; nieces Bethany, April (Kevin), Christalyn and Ashley; nephew Clifton Jr.; best friend Georgia Thompkins, and a host of other relatives and friends.
