Joshua joined the United states Navy in 2015. He was a beloved son, grandson, brother, and loving uncle, who was strong, giving, and was known for his calm demeanor and sense of humor. Even at such a young age, he had traveled the world and accomplished much more than most adults.
Joshua is survived by his parents, Cecilia and Johnny J. Ruiz, Jr.; brother, Arthur Howard; niece, Charlie A. Howard; nephew, Ethan R. Howard; grandparents, Ernest and Rose Perez, and Roque H. and Estela Garcia; aunts and uncles, Kerri and Steve Hedspedth, Kevin and Diana Perez, Martin and Liliana Ruiz, David Ruiz, Roque and Deborah Garcia, Edwardo Garcia, Hector Garcia, Alejandro and Maki Garcia, Kristina and Romualdo Lavina; numerous cousins and a few close friends.
