Joyce J Holden Loughran

Joyce (Holdren) Graham-Loughran passed away August 13, 2011. She was our beloved 84 year old Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother (“Ga-Ga”). A native Houstonian, born June 8, 1927, she graduated from Reagan High School and had a career with Southern Pacific Railroad.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Karl and Stella Holdren; brother, Karl Holdren Jr.; step-mother, Cecile Holdren; and husbands, Billy Graham and Bill Loughran.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Penny and Mike Capps, Kay Faile and Carl Betancourt and Marsha and James Satterwhite; step-daughters, Nancy Zeliff, Pat and Chuck Campanella and Betty Cannon; and her beloved sixteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.

Our family would like to acknowledge the loving care provided by Dr. Anthony Gunawan and Dr. Anil Sheth who truly “cared” for our mother, as well as her steadfast companion for the last nine years, Sid Lanier, her excellent housekeeper, Sonjia Martinez and her compassionate caregiver, Kourtney Greenville.

A Funeral Service will be held at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77079, 281-497-2210, on Thursday, August 18, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. Entombment will follow at Memorial Oaks Mausoleum.
