Juan Rodriguez Hernandez

John passed away on February 17, 2024. At the age of 50, he is preceded in death by his devoted mother, Juanita Rodriguez Hernandez. He is survived by his father Victor Hernandez; his fur kiddos Lucky and Murphy, and too many loved ones to list here.

Always willing to lend a helping hand, John would drive you to an appointment, take a plate of food to the neighbor, or install your kitchen tile.

He enjoyed tinkering with gadgets, creating card games, and sewing costumes for the Renaissance Festival. John had a calling for fostering strays and animal rehabilitation. He enjoyed hiking and the outdoors. Always encouraging family and friends to start a garden, he would roll up his sleeves and get to work. A lifelong gamer, he often played online with family and friends. His interest were vast, signing up for cooking classes, learning to dance Salsa, and studying Italian.

We are more than just the vessels we temporarily reside in. We are the kindness we share, the time spent together, and love we show. John's memory will live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to have met him.

A visitation for Juan will be held Tuesday, February 27, 2024 from 10:30 am to 10:00 pm at Funeraria Del Angel Crespo, 2516 Navigation Blvd., Houston, TX 77003. A rosary service will occur Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at 7:00 pm, 2516 Navigation Blvd., Houston, TX 77003. A funeral mass will occur Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 2405 Navigation Blvd, Houston, Texas 77003. A committal service will occur Wednesday, February 28, 2024 from 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm at Oak Lawn Cemetery, 15984 Hwy 36S, Somerville, TX 77879.
