June Arline Switzer

June married the love of her life, James “Jimmie” W. Switzer, on January 19, 1946 in Washington, D.C. Together they built a family, and June became a full-time mom to their five children. She had a wide circle of family and friends whom she routinely communicated with. She was a dedicated, loving wife and mother, and she will be deeply missed.

Her friends and family will always remember her as someone who loved unconditionally and who could always find the good in everyone. She never judged anyone; she embraced and accepted everyone as they were. June will also be remembered for her love for animals. She cared for and adopted several pets over the years.

June leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Barry Switzer, Paul & Vicki Switzer and Bradley & Donna Switzer; her grandchildren, Jason, Daniel, Alayna, Amy, Paul, Alaine, Cymantha, Chris, Richard, Devin and Shawn; her great-grandchildren, Skyler, Carter, Olivia, Karolina, Elizabeth, Gianpaul, Cadence, Trista, Riley, Ashley, Nicole, Alex, Kenneth, Connor, Anna, Chris, Zachary, Ethan, Jacob and Samantha; her brother, Warren Bradley; her pets, Maggie, Maizy and Ziggy; and a wide circle of friends and countless people whose lives she touched.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Switzer; her daughter, Cheryl Clarke; her son, Michael Switzer; and her sister, Florence Primeau.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Brookside Funeral Home-Cypress Creek. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at 4:00 pm. A private cremation will be held at a later date.
