He is survived by his wife, Alice; children, Eric (and wife, Victoria), Bernice (and husband, Dave), and Teri; grandchildren, Ava and Hayes; and sister, Miranda.
Kam was born and raised in Hong Kong where he rocked out as a guitarist in a Beatles cover band before immigrating to Texas. He graduated from the University of Houston and began his career as a mechanical engineer, working for various engineering companies across Houston, Texas. In 1978, he married and built a life with his wife and their three children.
He enjoyed hitting the ski slopes, playing tennis, cycling around town, and strumming on the guitar. He wanted all of his kids to be safe and lead successful lives, and he kept the laughter and goofiness going in the house. For all of this and more, he shall be missed.
