Karen L. Krumpholz, 79, went to be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on Wednesday, July 27, 2022. She was a native Houstonian and graduate of Jefferson Davis High School. Karen was born on April 27, 1943 in Spring (Klein), Texas. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Charley A. Theiss and LaVerne E. Wunderlich Theiss Parker. She is also preceded in death by her loving husband of 30 years, John Krumpholz. Karen is survived by her brothers, Jerone Theiss and wife Judy and Daryl Theiss. She is also survived by her children, Shelley B. Young and husband Ray, Edmund E. Brzymialkiewicz II and wife Diana, Rebecca M. Hutchinson and husband Charlie as well as her stepdaughters Sherry Whitlow and husband Wynn, Lois Swanson and Chris Manale and Lisa Chaput and husband Paul. Karen is also survived by grandchildren Pauline Pechacek and husband Kevin, Criselda Shutic and husband Kyle, Alexa Gamaldi and husband Joseph, Taryn Skinner and husband Tommy, Katelyn Young, John Robert Swanson, Taylor Swanson, Abbey Young, Megan Palkovics and husband Geoffrey, Faith Allen and husband Chris, Evan O’Donnell, Edmund Brzymialkiewicz and wife Brooke, as well as eleven great grandchildren.
She was a devout Christian and prayer warrior. She was an active member at St. John Lutheran Church. She was a distinguished member of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees #828 (N.A.R.F.E) as well as the Cypress Historical Society. Karen enjoyed traveling and going on day trips with her friends. She was an avid Astros and Rockets fan.
Karen will be greatly missed by everyone that knew her. Her family loves her deeply, fiercely, and forever. They are grateful for the outpouring of love and support from their community. It was a privilege to have Karen in our lives and she will always be loved. May she find peace with Jesus Christ and may we all hold her in our hearts always.
Visitation will be held at Brookside Funeral Home located at 9149 HWY 6 North, Houston, TX 77095 on Sunday, July 31st from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
The funeral service will be held at St. John Lutheran Church located at 15235 Spring Cypress Rd, Cypress, TX 77429 on Monday August 1st at 10:00 am.
Graveside service to immediately follow at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery located at 13102 North Freeway, Houston, TX 77060.
