He was born in South Korea on January 27, 1947. He immigrated to the United States of America in 1986 to follow his American dream and to provide opportunities for his children. Joined by his wife, Mr. Kim fulfilled his dream as a successful retail businessman – who won not only the hearts of his customers but also the love and loyalty of his employees.
Mr. Kim was devoted to his family, as a loving husband, gentle father and a generous grandfather. Between his busy work schedule and community service, he built memories with his wife traveling and visiting families. He is remembered for his kind demeanor and loving smile.
Mr. Kim is survived by his wife, Myung Soon Kim, whom he was married to for 45 years; his son, Min Sung Kim; his daughter, Ji Hyun Cho and husband Hyoung Chun Cho; and his granddaughters Hailey Megan Cho and Lena Allison Cho.
He lived a full and happy life with a selfless, loving and generous heart. His memories will be forever etched in everyone he touched.
Visitation and funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Oaks Funeral Home located at 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77079.
