

Larry Huery II was the born July 23, 1977, to Larry Huery Sr. and Hattie Marie Huery in Houston, Texas. He was the second of two born to Larry and Hattie. He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Saints Chapel Church of God in Christ. He served in the Youth Department and came back to visit Saints Chapel often.
On his last visit, he again accepted the altar call to publicly renew his spiritual commitment to Jesus as Lord and Saviour.
He was affectionately known as Lil Larry. Lil Larry attended Houston public schools and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School, Class of 1996. Lil Larry worked in a variety of industries: Hertz Rental Car, Intercontinental Airport and UPS; he was a licensed Forklift Driver.
He had a huge heart, willing to help anyone he could. Lil Larry possessed one of the best memories of anyone you would ever meet. If he knew your birthday, you were guaranteed to get a happy birthday wish from him. He wanted everyone to feel loved. He never met a stranger and could hold a conversation with anyone. He was a very talkative, friendly, sociable person who had a loving and genuine spirit. He loved his family and community. He would run errands to the store for the elderly and put out their trash.
Lil Larry departed this life on Friday, July 26, 2024. Larry was preceded in death by; his mother, Hattie Marie Huery; grandfather, James Haynes; grandmother, Christine Huery; uncles, Kerry Huery, Danny Huery, Michael Huery; uncle-in-law, MQ Canada III; aunts, Jannie Babers and Jacqueline Chevalier.
He leaves to cherish his memories; his father, Larry Huery Sr.; one sibling, Andre Huery; a soulmate, Joi Jones; and one son, Larry Huery III; his grandmother, Earnestine Haynes; a special aunt, Vanessa Canada (his adopted mother); uncles and aunts, Betty Oliver, Ricky Huery, Patricia Flowers, Patsy Huery, Pamela Huery, Felicia Huery, Davilyn Johnson, Lavera Huery, Kevin Chevalier, Lela Mitchell, Walter Haynes, Carzetta Hooey (Elwood), Lacy Mitchell (Donna); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
A visitation for Larry will be held Friday, August 9, 2024 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at Paradise Funeral Home, Inc, 10401 West Montgomery, Houston, TX 77088. A funeral service will immediately follow from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM. The committal service will follow from 3:45 PM to 4:00 PM at Paradise Funeral Home & Cemetery North, 10401 W Montgomery Rd, Houston, TX 77088.
