

He was born on the 30th of March, 1950 in Houston. Larry, who was orphaned as a teenager worked his way through college and law school by doing construction, and as an electrician. His training in law was accelerated by serving as Bailiff in the court of Judge Paul Pressler, his mentor. He graduated from Lee High School in Houston, then Washington and Lee University in Virginia, and received a Law degree from South Texas College of Law in Houston.
He began his career with Gun, Lee and Jackson in Houston, Texas and ended as a Partner with Husch Blackwell in St. Louis, Missouri. He had a brilliant and widely respected career in the world of intellectual property. As an intellectual property attorney Larry represented inventors across a broad spectrum of industries and fields in patent applications and infringement litigation. He was an adjunct professor at Washington University, St Louis. Larry was a lifelong learner, in technical fields and law and included geology, geography, marine shells, and other areas he intensely pursued and mastered.
Larry was a follower of Christ, and lived his faith encouraging believers and supporting an assortment of missionary activities at home and abroad as well as serving as a Sunday school teacher from time to time. Larry was an active member of Community Covenant Church, Green Tree Church, and Central Presbyterian Church in St. Louis, Missouri. He told his family in his final days that he was “ready to see Heaven”.
Larry loved the outdoors, exploring the lands, and hunting and fishing on multiple continents and oceans. He enjoyed many memorable outings with family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Campbell Evans, son, Christopher Campbell Evans and wife Anna Kathryn, and daughter, Laura Kinzy and husband Devon Richard and a host of friends and colleagues.
A memorial service is to be conducted at eleven o’clock in the morning on Saturday, the 11th of March 2017, in the Jasek Chapel of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston. Immediately following, all are invited to greet the family in the nearby grand foyer.
