Lee Robert Walton, age 78, of San Angelo, Texas passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2020. Lee was born November 17, 1941 in St. Louis, Missouri. He attended Durham Business School and University of Houston.
He was married to Betty Lou (Williams) Walton on December 1, 1962. Lee lived in Houston most of his life then moved to Tyler and recently to San Angelo.
Lee had a career in Drafting for Brown & Root, Bayer, McDonnell Jacobs, Foster Wheeler, Conroe Shaw, Fluor Daniels, Conaco and Bectel. He was a member of the Civil Air Patrol and had a passion for guns, old Westerns, woodworking and coin collecting.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Betty Lou Walton, adored daughters, Michelle Walton Miller and her spouse Robert L. Miller IV and DeAnna Elizabeth Breckenridge; cherished grandchildren, Kayla A. Breckenridge, Robert L. Miller V, and Madison S. Miller; adored great grandchild, Jaxson Lee Breckenridge; and devoted sister, Margie Duran and her spouse Ray Duran.
A visitation for Lee will be held Monday, September 14, 2020 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. A funeral service will occur Monday, at 1:00 p.m., with a committal service following at 2:00 p.m. at Brookside Memorial Park.
Serving as pallbearers are Robert L. Miller IV, Robert L. Miller V, Keith Henson and Bobby Dunn, and Bill Fairbanks.
