Lena was born August 12, 1915 to Tony and Louise Tamborello. She graduated from Jeff Davis High School in the early 1930's and the only sibling in her family to complete her education. She worked for The Houston Chronicle from 1940 to 1970Lena was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Luke Orlando, who she married on November 26, 1961, her stepdaughter Sherry Palermo and seven siblings.Lena was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church and the Ladies of The Sacred Heart.She is survived by step-sons Ronald and Richard Orlando, 9 nieces and 9 nephews.
Visitation will be Friday, January 23, 2015 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm, Funeral Service will be at 2:00 pm, Burial to follow at Brookside Memorial Park.
