

Lillian Christine Hood, 92, was reunited in Heaven with her devoted husband, Perry Hood, on Wednesday, January 17th, 2024. Mrs. Hood was called Christine by all who knew her, and “Tene” by her adoring family. She was born on March 9, 1931, the eldest of 7 children, to JK and Mable Craig Stockton in Pleasant Hill, LA. Christine moved with Perry to Houston, TX, in 1948. For four decades, Christine worked as a packer at the Nabisco Bakery in Houston until her retirement in 1990.
Christine was preceded in death by her brother, Frank and spouse Mary Lou Stockton; her brother, Kenneth Stockton; and by her sister, Wanda and spouse Alex Littleton.
She is survived by her brother, Vernon and spouse Linda Stockton; her brother, Roger and spouse Cathy Stockton; her sister, Jean and spouse Weldon Boydstun; her sister-in-law, Lawanda Stockton; her daughter, Betty and spouse Larry Hulvey; her daughter, Dorothy Pursley; her grandson, Gary Petty; her granddaughter, Heather Poss and spouse David Poss; her great-grandson, Sebastian Johnson and spouse, Akela Jean Maciel; her great-granddaughters, Payton and Lillian Poss; and her great-great-grandchild, Cole Johnson, in addition to numerous nieces and nephews, a multitude of other family, and many dear friends.
The family will receive visitors Friday, January 26, 2024 from 5-8 pm at Brookside Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Brookside Funeral Home, with Reverend Robert Hogan officiating. Interment will follow at Brookside Memorial Park.
