Born into a Navy family, Louise often said she "grew up in the Navy," where teamwork and responsibility were central to life. After her father’s retirement from service, the family settled in Salt Lake City, Utah. Louise worked for many years in the business office of the University of Utah Radiology Department before retiring in 2016.
A lifelong lover of books, Louise found immense joy in sharing her passion for reading with others. She cherished visits to King’s English Bookshop in Salt Lake City with her children and grandchildren. Her favorite books included *The Help*, *Little Women*, *To Kill a Mockingbird*, and *Pride and Prejudice*. She admired strong characters and stories that championed resilience and compassion.
In 2019, following an Alzheimer’s diagnosis, Louise moved to Katy to be closer to family. Weekly Saturday lunches became treasured moments that brought joy to her final years.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to a favorite nonprofit and invites you to honor Louise by curling up with a good book—perhaps one of her favorites. May her memory inspire strength and kindness in all who knew her.
