Lucia Trevino Vasquez

Lucia Treviño Vásquez passed away on December 26, 2025. She was born on January 8, 1931, in El Rancho Naranjo, Tamaulipas, Mexico, and was one of ten children. In 1953, she married and later relocated with her family to Texas.

Lucia devoted her life to her home and family, working part time to help support their needs. She loved gardening and cherished every moment spent with her loved ones. She deeply valued education and worked tirelessly to ensure her children could graduate and pursue their goals. Among her proudest achievements were earning her GED in her seventies and fulfilling her dream of traveling to Europe.

After the passing of her beloved husband of 65 years, Lucia continued to live a long, full, and meaningful life surrounded by the family she adored.

Lucia is preceded in death by her parents Antonia and Albino Trevino, her husband, Trinidad ‘Lupe’ Vasquez, and siblings, Maria Luisa Medina, Nemecia Gonzales, Teodora Moreno, Maria Santos Suarez, Raquel Banda, Maria Leonor Guiterrez, Wenceslao Trevino, Albino Trevino , Elida Alvarez, son, Gabriel and great granddaughter, Evangeline.

Left to cherish her memory are her children and spouses, Antonia & Rogelio Trevino, Jose Guadalupe Vasquez, Sergio and Diana Vasquez, Humberto and Metha Vasquez, Carmen and Jesse Montemayor, Lillian Vasquez, Norma Guidry and many grandchildren, great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.

Lucia dedicó su vida a su hogar y a su familia, trabajando a tiempo parcial para ayudar a cubrir sus necesidades. Wenceslao Treviño, Albino Treviño, Elida Álvarez, su hijo Gabriel y su bisnieta Evangeline. 



La memoria de ella será atesorada por sus hijos y sus cónyuges, Antonia y Rogelio Treviño, José Guadalupe Vásquez, Sergio y Diana Vásquez, Humberto y Metha Vásquez, Carmen y Jesse Montemayor, Lillian Vásquez, Norma Guidry, así como por muchos nietos, bisnietos y numerosos sobrinos y sobrinas.

A visitation will be held at Brookside Funeral Home, located at 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039, on January 8, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm.

A memorial service will follow at the same location from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm.
