My name is Sheila Jennings. I lost my daughter 2 days before her 17th Birthday, but I can’t even comprehend your loss. I have an altar in my prayer room with as many of the girls pictures I could find online. As you can see your sweet baby girl is on there. I adore your Lucy’s face. I pray for all of your families. Cile’s pictures 😢 is on my nightstand with my other three grandchildren. Tonight I watched the entire testimony’s of all these sweet girls parents. As each parent spoke of their child I knew right then the face’s of my sweet girls Mommy and Daddy’s. I cried and cried 😢😢
Lucy will FOREVER be in my heart ❤️ she will never be forgotten by me! You and your family will always be in my prayers.

I am grateful to have had a part in her life.  We are so sorry for your loss. Praying for you and wishing you moments of peace and comfort as you navigate this difficult time.

We are heart-broken that Lucy is no longer with you, this side of Heaven. We are eternally grateful to have had the honor of coaching her at the sport she loved most: HOOPS!  We will never forget the strength, tenacity and grit she played and learned with.  There are not many 6 year olds that play with that much fire.  I usually have to coax younger female players to play more aggressively, "like tigers" on the court. Not so with Lucy!  In memory of Lucy, we have just created the first annual Summer Camp Award entitled:  The Lucy Dillon Legacy Award-- for the "Camper of the Week" that has shown determination, focus, tenacity and grit."  Each week, for both the morning and afternoon camps, all campers will be eligible to earn this award-- not because they are the #1 scorer, or the fanciest dribbler, but because of their "determination, focus, tenacity and grit!"  God rest Lucy in perfect peace in Heaven. And, may He comfort your souls at this time.

We love you, precious Lucy! You were such a FORCE! You truly excelled at everything you tried and it was because you put in the work! You’re an inspiration and we will work constantly to keep your memory alive.  My favorite memory of Lucy is watching her school all the boys at basketball during health fitness and recess!!

I had the opportunity to teach Lucy and her sister at a circus camp. She was so brave and often volunteered to go first climbing, spinning or dangling from the aerial equipment. Her group at camp was filled with the most laughter and that stemmed from Lucy. What I remember most is her encouraging her sister in the sweetest way to try the moves that seemed scary. Her ability to lift up everyone around her from their spirits to getting over their fears at such a young age was incredible. I know Lucy will be with you all as a guardian angel now and I pray for you all.

Lisa and Brandt… I pray you feel the peace of the Holy Spirit around you. May Jesus comfort you and guide you during this very sad time.  Lucy is with Jesus although I know you want her with you here on earth. I wish I had a magic wand for you to make this all go away. Faith and hope will get you through this although I know how hard that is. just know that I am thinking of all of you and your family and I hope we can see all of you in good times. Lucy had a great laugh and she always made my day better.  I will miss her so much.

October 2021 was the first time I met sweet Lucy.  She was in our Stella’s PreK class at MDE.  Her smile, voice, curly hair and infectious enthusiasm made her impossible to forget or confuse with the other girls.  Over the years, as I saw Lucy at different events for my granddaughter, I enjoyed her laugh, smile and hugs.  My husband and I loved watching Lucy compete in Basketball and Softball, leading her teams to championships, always playing to the best of her ability with a smile.  We will think of her often and remember her for the rest of our lives, speak her name.  Lucy was truly a special child and gift to everyone who was privileged to meet her.  Praying the God of all comfort gives peace that only He can give to her loving parents, Lisa and Brandt.   Thank you for sharing your beautiful child with our family. She was always so tenacious, ready to go, coached lovingly by Dad.

We wanted our picture taken with the offensive and defensive MVP’s of the game.  Lucy had an amazing game.

To realize she is gone and we will never see that beautiful smile ever hurts so much. Although she was here on earth for a short time she impacted many lives with her vibrant personality and outgoing charisma. Rest in paradise. My condolences to immediate family and friends.

We did not know you sweet angel, but we mourn you and for your family. You were taken from this earth too soon in an unthinkable tragedy, and we can only take some comfort in knowing you are in your eternal resting place.

To the parents and family, you are not alone. We cannot comprehend your loss and pain, but the entire state of Texas stands beside you in solidarity, offering strength and support where we can. We weep with you, and feel your pain, but know we cannot fully understand the gravity of all of this.

I did not know you, Sweet Girl. However when I heard on KHOU 11 News that you loved anything Corgi, I felt a kinship. I am a Mom of 2 Corgis. They are my children. It takes a Special person to love Corgis, so you my dear were special in so many ways according to what I've read.
My heart breaks with your loved ones. I pray for God's angels to comfort them in the times to come.
