

Lucy was the daughter of Jose Diaz and Esther Rangel and was raised alongside her three siblings, Jose Diaz Jr., Claudia Carr, and Whitey Diaz. She was a beloved wife to Gregory Montelongo and an amazing mother to her daughter, Clarissa, who was the center of her world.
A family-oriented person who loved life, Lucy enjoyed reading the Bible and was passionate about music, especially Christian music. She was known for her social nature and her culinary skills, particularly her amazing pies and the best pancakes.
Lucy was a lover of Jesus, and her faith was a cornerstone of her life. Her final words reflected her steadfast belief: "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing." — 2 Timothy 4:7-8
Services to honor Lucy's life will be held at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home, located at 12800 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX, 77077. Visitation will take place on December 10, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The funeral service will be held on December 11, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by a committal service at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery from 11:00 am to 11:45 am.
Lucy Esther Montelongo will be remembered for her love of family, her devotion to her faith, and her zest for life.
