Madelyn was a graduate of Jesse H. Jones High School in Houston, Texas. She worked in the healthcare field for most of her career. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, and spending time with her family.
Madelyn was a devout member of Lincolnwood Baptist Church, but above all, she was a faithful believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. She rejoiced to hear the voice of the son of God through the preaching of His gospel. She surely took her place, as do all of the elect of God redeemed of Christ and called of the holy spirit. She was only a sinner saved by grace, therefore, Madelyn well may say with David in 2 Samuel 23:5 "Although my house be not so with God; yet he hath made with me an everlasting covenant, ordered in all things, and sure".
Madelyn is preceded by her mother Joyce Hartley. She is survived by her husband, Sandy Kelley; her children: Cheryl Evans and husband, Michael Smith, Matthew Smith and wife; her grandchildren: Andrew and Audrey Evans, Penelope Smith and Liam Smith; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
