Magdalena Paulita Montemayor

Magdalena died Saturday, the 29th of July, 2023 surrounded by her loving family at the age of 89. She was born on the 5th of June, 1934 in Houston, Texas. Her last employment was as a PBX operator until retiring from the Westin Oaks Hotel-Galleria.

She was predeceased in 1999 by her husband Jose D. Montemayor. Magdalena was preceded in death by her parents, Jacobo & Juanita Adame, brothers, David, Jacobo, Jesse, Manuel & Daniel Adame; sisters, Eva Ramirez and Inez Gonzales along with grandson, Christopher Montemayor.

She is survived by her brother Alex Adame, sister, Mary Alice Gonzales and her four children, son, Joe Anthony and wife, Noemi, son, James Rene and wife, Sylvia, daughter, Maria Antoinette "Toni" and husband Manuel Garcia, son, Joel Dionicio and wife, Elma. Grandchildren: Monica, Joey, James, Vanessa, Maggie, Jonathan, Rosanna, Andrew, Matthew, Jacob, Jasmine, Gabriela, Libby, Bella, Tony and great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Melanie, Israel, Alice, TJ, Joshua, Christopher, Paige, Colton, Lucia, Mimi, Gabby, Sammy, Rosa, and great-great-grandchildren, Carson & Chloe and numerous nieces and nephews.

Magdalena was blessed and enriched by the many friends she shared her life with. She will always be remembered as a sweet, generous and loving individual, she will be missed by all who loved her.

A visitation for Magdalena will be held Monday, August 7, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Crespo, 4136 BROADWAY ST, HOUSTON, TX 77087. A rosary be recited, Monday, August 7, 2023 from 7:00 PM. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 8, 2023 from 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 1705 8th St, Galena Park, TX 77547. A committal service will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
