Manuel Leal Jr., 75, of Houston, TX, passed away June 6th 2022. He was born in Hondo, TX on September 23rd 1946. Manuel graduated from Brackenridge High School and received an Associates Degree from U of H. He was married to Naomi Vargas Leal for 50 years.
Manuel had a career as a technician for Halliburton, Baker Hughes, and Western Atlas. He had a passion for baseball and spending Sunday's watching the Dallas Cowboys.
He is survived by wife, Naomi Vargas Leal; Children, Gabriel, Lori, and Valerie; Grandchildren, Adrian and Justin, Sean and Braden; Brothers and sisters, Leo, Ilma, Rosie, Richard, and Sylvia.
A visitation for Manuel will be held Friday, June 24, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:15 PM at American Heritage Funeral Home, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038. A funeral service will occur Friday, June 24, 2022 from 12:15 PM to 1:15 PM, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038. A committal service will occur Friday, June 24, 2022 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038.
Serving as pallbearers are Adrian Sanchez Jr, Richard Leal Jr, John Gonzalez Jr, Carlos Escamilla, Brian Todd and Walter Mendoza.
