

Marcie Elaine Willis Butler was born to Claude Lee Willis and Magnolia Crump Willis on May 2, 1964, in Houston, Texas. She was the fourth child of seven siblings and attended Ryan Elementary, Marshall Junior High, and Thomas Jefferson Davis High School.
She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. She was baptized at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Houston, Texas by Rev. Odell Rusher, pastor. She attended Vacation Bible School, sang in the church choir, and attended Sunday School. In 2004 she joined Abiding Faith Baptist Church in Missouri City, Texas under the leadership of Pastor Bobby R. Morgan.
Marcie’s first union was with Mr. Herbert Henry in 1983, and they had a son Adrian Lynn Henry. She remarried in February 2000 to Mr. Kenneth Butler.
Early on she developed an attraction and passion for dancing. She was well-known as (aka Mary J).
Marcie was employed for over 40 years as an environmental technician with Memorial Hermann Hospital and was presently employed with Houston Methodist Hospital. She lived life to the fullest and was loved by all whom she encountered, impacting the lives of many.
Marcie was preceded in death by her Mother, Magnolia Crump Willis, Grandmother, Roxie Lee Crump, Grandfather Roosevelt Crump, and Brother, Charlester Willis.
She leaves to mourn her memories to her Son, Adrian Lynn Henry, Dad, Claude Lee Willis, Sisters, Christine Jones (Richard Jones II), Ella Willis, Cathy Willis Gray, Lisa Nixon (Kenard Nixon), Cecil Willis, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, relatives, and friends.
