Upon the resolution of her twenty-seven year marriage she started her life over again at fifty years old. First returning to college as a student, completing an undergraduate degree and eventually she would find her nitch as a supervisor of admissions at Lonestar College North Harris where she was dearly loved.
Marese Lillie Spencer gave her life to the Lord in 1976 while stationed in Hawaii and she never looked back. Eventually in 1990 She and her family would settle in Houston, Texas and later in Humble, Texas she would find her homestead.
“Sister” Spencer as she was known to the body of Christ faithfully served under her Pastor, Dr. Patricia Brown-Johnson from 1992 until her passing. Within those twenty years she was ordained as a minister and elevated to Assistant Pastor, Elder Marese Spencer yet she continued to walk humbly before God and man. She rests after fulfilling her purpose as a champion for the Gospel of Lord Jesus Christ. We are at peace knowing that Elder Spencer described the final moments of her life as a “WINWIN”; she said “either I’m going to be here with you all, or I’m going to be with Jesus.”
