Meg Brewer passed away at home on November 4th, 2025 in Kingwood, Texas. She was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey on June 24th, 1948. Her father was William C. Sussky who worked for Standard Oil of New Jersey (and later for ExxonMobil Corporation) from Little Rock, Arkansas; her mother was Margaret J. (Reid) Sussky of Cranston, Rhode Island. Meg is survived by her older brother William and younger sister Carol Gilley, and nephews William (Billy), Matthew, and their children: Kaia, Winston, Jayden, and Sophia.
She grew up first in New Jersey and then in Metairie, Louisiana (following her family’s move there), graduating from Riverdale High School in 1966. Meg attended The University of Alabama— becoming a major football fan for life and a member and an officer in Chi Omega sorority — graduating in 1970 with a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics. She moved to North Carolina and focused on computer systems analysis, working for several national and international corporations, finally specializing in early global networking and protocols and finally moving to Kingwood to be close to family.
