Margaret M. Oltmann, born November 18, 1921 died Tuesday, January 2, 2018. Margaret, a native of Stafford, Texas, left for California to marry Hilbert, her WWII Army husband who was departing for the South Pacific. He returned proudly to Margaret with his bronze star. They were married for 51 years. Margaret worked many years in retail at Foley’s in Houston and Pasadena. After Hilbert died and her house flooded she lived with her only child, Joanne, who was blessed with the gift of caring for her mom until the date of her passing. Margaret always placed the needs of her daughter and husband first in her life. She died under the care of Houston Hospice and had resided at Comforcare where other patients, their families, and Comforcare staff provided her a home and security.
