One of the sweetest souls to ever walk among us left earth to join her Lord above Friday, May 6, 2016. Margaret Pressley Harrison was born on November 15, 1930 in Houston, TX to Reverend R.H. "Bill" and Willie Winifred "Billie" Pressley.
Although she worked for several years at both Western Bank and the Spring Branch Independent School District, the focus of her life was her family. She was devoted to her three children, Brenda, Mary, and Cole.
Her faith and love for her Lord was central to her life and she was active in both Brittmoore Baptist and Tallowood Baptist churches. Margaret's sweet smile and gentle spirit will be missed by all who were touched by her life. She was known for her kindness and thoughtfulness to all, always putting others before herself.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Brenda Evans. She is survived by daughter, Mary Giles and husband, Roy; her son, Cole Harrison; five grandsons, Justin Giles and wife, Emily; Jordan Giles and fiancé, Afua; Bill Evans and wife, Susie; Brett and Brady Evans; granddaughters, Kelly Mears, husband Andy, and family; and Kim Klain, husband Dave, and family; and great-grandchildren, Caden Giles, Brendyn Evans, and Kailey and Karsyn Evans.
She was especially blessed to have her sister, Beverly Cassidy, relocate back to Houston which allowed Margaret to stay in her home of 54 years. Her flowers and garden gave her many hours of pleasure.
Her grandchildren will cherish their many wonderful memories of time spent together. Everyone looked forward to Sundays with Nana and her infamous four layer chocolate pie. She will be greatly missed.
Her greatest desire was for her family, friends, and acquaintances to know and share in the love, hope, and salvation in Christ as written in John 3:16.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the ALS Association, 1275 K Street NW, Suite 1050, Washington, DC 20005, or to a charity of your choice.
