Mark Edward Neely

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mark Edward Neely, age 73, of Houston, TX, who passed away on January 17th, 2026. Mark was born on July 30th, 1952, in Houston, TX to Archie and Daisy Neely. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.

Mark is preceded in death by his parents, Archie and Daisy Neely and his sister Nora Wheeler. He is survived by his loving wife, Lisa Neely; his daughters Alicia Behler, Rachel Davis and Lauren Neely, his sisters Marcia Gould and Andrea Swan, and his 5 beautiful grandchildren: Isabella, Juliana, Genevieve, Dylan and Parker.

Mark lived a life dedicated to his family, friends and career. He will be remembered for his gentle kindness, amazing humor, family leadership, grilling expertise, and devoted friendship. He found joy in life’s simple pleasures: the Texas hill country, good food, rebuilding cars and racing them when younger, home improvement projects, and anything to do with his family and friends. Though he is no longer with us in person, his legacy of love, strength, humor and commitment will always reside within us.

A memorial service will be held on January 26th at 2:00 pm at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home in Houston, TX. Family and friends are welcome to attend and celebrate Mark’s life. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the American Diabetes Association or a charity of choice.
