

Marvin Eugene Jacks, a devout and hard-working Christian, passed away on October 16, 2025, at the age of 95. Marvin was born on August 29, 1930, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, to parents Marvin and Jeanie Jacks.
Marvin proudly served in the army, where he demonstrated dedication and commitment. After his military service, he continued to embody a strong work ethic throughout his life.
He was married to his beloved wife, Holley, for 35 years, a testament to their enduring partnership.
Marvin had a passion for football, and he was well-known as a football referee. Furthermore, he was deeply involved in his community as a long-standing member of the Christ Evangelical Presbyterian Church.
Marvin resided in Houston, Texas, where he leaves behind a legacy of devotion, hard work, and faith.
He is preceded by his wife Holley, his daughter Marguerite Annette Kaiser, and his parents Marvin and Jeanie Jacks.
He is survived by his children, Marvin E. Jacks Jr. "Dinks" and Tina E. Lumkins, 18 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren, and 8 great great grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral service, which will be held at Christ Presbyterian Church of Houston, 8300 Katy Fwy, Houston, TX 77024, on October 27, 2025, at 12:00 pm. A graveside service will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, Texas 77023, starting at 2:00 pm.
